As of November, the city has collected $663,500 from the remote sellers tax, which has helped the city surpass the 2020 first- and second-penny sales tax collections with a month of sales tax revenue that's yet to be tallied.
“We would have the added benefit of being able to utilize them in times when it is necessary for de-escalation," Mayor Bob Everson said of the changes to the city's code enforcement role.
While the council agreed to increase the subsidy funds for a majority of the nonprofits that submitted applications to the city, it's unclear what Dakota Counseling Institute will receive from the city.
