(Wyoming News Now) - Riverton and the Wyoming Game Fish and Parks underwent the first year of a deer harvesting and reduction program. The program was intended in part to prevent deer collisions with vehicles. After gaining a permit from game and fish, the city was granted to harvest a maximum of 50 deer in city limits. There are many stipulations within the permit, including training and a vetting process to ensure safety for all involved.
