The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has planted around 1 lakh tulips in its parks across the Capital, an addition to more than 4 lakh tulips of different hues planted by the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) in Lutyens’ Delhi, said official sources.
This is in line with Delhi L-G VK Saxena’s plan to turn the capital into a ‘City of Flowers’. Raj Niwas is also witnessing the planting of 500 Tulip bulbs, marking the first-ever presence of these flowers within its grounds.
