The Flora City Council is set to meet this afternoon at 4:30 at Flora City Hall. Under regular business, Mayor Slaughter has the items of the retirement of David Rudy and the discontinuation of the sewer adjustments on pools. Under City Administrator Stanford's business, the council will look to approve and ratify a grant under the facade improvement for EJ Lewis Properties LLC and look to approve an agreement by and between the city and SCIRPDC (South Central Illinois Regional Development and Development Commission), and, look to approve an ordinance approving the grant writing services agreement with the SCIRPDC. Under business from City Treasurer Abbie Orel, the city will look to amend and approve the budget and make an agreement with Botsch and Associates CPAs. The Flora City Council met for the second session of the month on Monday The council approved the consent agenda, including the approval of the farmers market on Saturdays from 8A until noon starting on May the 6th and running through September 30th.
