Members of the 403rd Mission Support Group leadership participated in a non-traditional staff ride, which involves walking a battlefield, only in this case the battle that was fought was the Civil Rights Movement for African Americans in Montgomery, Alabama. The staff ride was intended to provide the leadership team with a better posture in order to have the tough conversations with their Airmen when it comes time to discuss diversity and inclusion and why it plays a vital role in combat readiness. I Have a Dream: Dr. King’s Legacy Lives On
Gene Stratton-Porter, New Harmony and Whitewater Canal State Historic Sites are closed due to seasonal hours.
Enjoy special activities at the Indiana State Museum honoring King, including screenings of King’s speeches, a letter-writing and drawing campaign called “Love for Our Elders” that focuses on serving others while still being socially distanced and safe, a “Marching in Their Shoes” activity that will encourage participants to identify what causes they’re passionate about and more.
