The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has announced 117 new cases of COVID-19 in Windsor and Essex County as of Sunday, bringing the local total to 5,734. Cases increased from 5,617 on Saturday December 19th to 5,734 on Sunday December 20th and 1,066 cases of COVID-19 are currently active in Windsor-Essex. The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has announced 243 new cases of COVID-19 as of Friday, bringing the local total to 5,446. Cases increased from 5,203 on Thursday December 17th to 5,446 on Friday December 18th and 1,014 cases of COVID-19 are currently active in Windsor-Essex. There are 105 residents of long-term care and retirement homes with COVID-19, along with 62 staff members.
