WOODSFIELD Officers arrested a man Tuesday afternoon in Monroe County after he led law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit through multiple counties.
According to a social media post by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the pursuit began around 3:20 p.m. in Washington County by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and eventually ended in Monroe County. The patrol was pursuing a white Chevy Cruz that had been reported stolen along Ohio 7 north of Fly, where the sheriff’s office and OSHP St. Clairsville Post then joined the pursuit.
The driver of the vehicle was reportedly driving erraticly and at high speeds throughout the chase, Monroe County Sheriff Charles Black Jr. said.
