Queen’s Palace is the first shop of its kind in Montana to become a naloxone distributor. The initiative was the brainchild of Evan Breshears, manager of the Helena store, and Tia Norine, manager of its Butte location. Naloxone is the generic name of a drug more commonly known by its brand name, Narcan. The drug rapidly reverses the effects of an opioid overdose.
Three new naloxone vending machines are now in operation in Helena, with the goal of offering free opioid overdose medication available to anyone who needs it.
