51 New Area COVID Cases, Two COVID Related Deaths Wednesday
Area health departments reported 51 new COVID-19 cases and two COVID related deaths Wednesday.
The Adams County Health Department reported the deaths of two residents due to COVID, a man and woman both in their 70s.
There were also 16 new coronavirus cases in Adams County Wednesday, bringing their case count to 7,836, with 135 active, 19 hospitalized, three in ICU and now 111 deaths.
Officials in Marion County reported 11 new COVID cases Wednesday. Their case count is now 3,539, with 59 active, six hospitalized and 64 deaths.
The Shelby County Health Department reported ten new COVID cases since February 1st. Their case total is now 634, with ten active, three hospitalized and nine deaths.
One New Death, 45 New Area COVID Cases Wednesday
The Adams County Health Department Wednesday reported the county’s 108th death due to COVID-19, a female in here 70s.
Officials also reported 14 new coronavirus cases, bringing the Adams County case total to 7,747, with 210 active, 23 hospitalized and two in intensive care.
The seven-day positivity rate in Adams County falls to 2.45%.
Elsewhere in western Illinois, the Pike County Health Department reported four new COVID cases Wednesday. Their case total is now 1,630, with 24 active, four hospitalized and 46 deaths.
Officials in Brown County also reported four new coronavirus cases since Monday. The Brown County case total is now 645, with 20 active, two hospitalizations and seven deaths.
