Synopsis Students and parents are really worried about Class 12 board exams. They want that the exams should not be conducted without vaccination. I appeal to the Centre that the exams be cancelled and the evaluation be done on basis of the past performance, Arvind Kejriwal tweeted.
The appeal by the chief minister comes ahead of a crucial meeting on board exams this evening which will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday appealed to the Centre to cancel Class 12 board exams in view of the Covid situation and suggested students be evaluated on basis of past performance.

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal stated that an important meeting has been called to make a decision for the long-pending Class 12 CBSE board exam 2021. The exams were postponed as a safety measure looking at the critical situation of the nation amid the second wave of Covid-19.
Education ministers and secretaries from all the states and union territories are to be a part of the meeting. The meeting will be chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, while Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar will also be a part of the meeting.

No decision yet on cancelling Karnataka SSLC, PUC-II exams
The Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar on Monday said no decision has been taken on cancelling the 10th class
examination and the second pre-university examination. We have not taken any decision on cancelling the SSLC or the PUC-II exams, which were postponed earlier in view of the rising COVID cases, Kumar said in a statement. Stating that reports in a section of the media were only speculation, he said the decision would be taken in the future and asked students not to get disturbed but focus on studies.
