The Environmental Protection Agency is awarding nearly $1 billion to school districts across 37 states, including Mississippi, to purchase electric and zero-emission school buses.

The six buses, operated by Dousman Transport, are expected to begin ferrying Palmyra-Eagle students to and from schools before Thanksgiving.
