Sulphur City Court and the Ward 4 Marshal, in partnership with the city of Sulphur and Calcasieu Parish District Attorney s Office, is offering a Clean Slate Amnesty Program April 19-May 14 to settle outstanding warrants issued prior to Jan. 1, 2021.
During this time, individuals with outstanding warrants for traffic violations, misdemeanors and other offenses may pay fines at a reduced rate, in some cases up to 50 percent.
Sulphur City Prosecutor Bill Loftin Jr. and Brandon Dever, Ward 4 Marshal, presented the highlights of the program to the Sulphur City Council meeting on April 12. It s a chance for them to clean up their business and start fresh, Loftin said.
