sitting with them. sean penn sitting next to our friend officer mike for known. while we wait for the committee to enter the room and gavel and, this talk about what we are expecting to hear. let me underscore for our viewers. trump, exalted all the remedies in courts, exhausted all the remedies before election boards. there is no evidence of fraud. he pressured state legislatures to overturn the election. here we have the witnesses. there s a former acting attorney general jeffrey rosen with the white hair and others coming in. in any case, after failing to get the legislature to appoint these faker like tors, he tried to organize the justice department with jeffrey clark who will not testify live today. his phone home was just rated.
i said no. the president asked me to do more, i said no. so that will be the dramatic testimony and essentially you re going to see the side here. on this side, the justice department officials who said, sir, you have no evidence of fraud. sir, there are laws. sir, we will not go along with your plan. on this side, you will hear a lot about jeffrey clark, kenneth, those in the justice department who unknown to these people at the time were communicating with people in trump world saying, actually, we could do this if you would put us in charge. and so one of the thing you re going to work through is just how this was going. this is new year s day, january 1st, richard donoghue sends an email saying this is pure insanity. what the white house is asking them to do. look at jeffrey rosen. asked if i would reconsider, i flatly refused. said i would not be giving any special treatment to giuliani or any of his witnesses. he puts it in quotes. reaffirmed yet again i will not talk to giuliani

voters had actually voted for. and we heard from some of those officials on tuesday. the arizona speaker of the house, republican rusty bowers, testified live. others did so in recorded testimony, people from michigan and other places. today, we re going to hear from officials at the department of justice about how trump and his team wanted to use federal law enforcement powers to claim evidence of fraud that did not exist and then to push states, republicans, legislators, to send fraudulent slates of electors to the national archives based on the justice department pushing them to do so. in other words, trump was trying to weaponize the department of justice to commit injustice, to commit fraud, to steal the election, not just from joe biden but from the american people. that s what we re going to hear today, and dana, again, i find it so stunning and shocking that you have republican lawmakers
