to destroy more animal habitats. jeff corwin is live for us in pensacola beach, florida. first up, jeff, looks like it is getting choppy waters behind you. can you give osquick rundown? absolutely, alex. we have rough seas and blustery wind and other than that a coast guard perfect day here in pensacola beach in florida. now, this beach should be loaded with tourists. instead, what you can see is that lining up along this white sandy beach are all these cleanup workers. they re here to clean up this stuff right here. alex, looks can be deceiving. yes, it looks nice, but the first thing you discover is this. you get this sort of frothy, greasy foam and what that foam bring s up is this. the entire stretch of this beach, all 200 miles of it is covered with this greasy crude. and, of course, with rough seas like this, it really hampers the rescue efforts of first responders. now, so that means, what?

there won t be a dry eye in the house when she sings that one. let s take a look at the morning papers. the sun herald in southern mississippi, about 300 cleanup workers sift through the sands on east biloxi beach. removing tar balls that washed ashore over the weekend. governor haley barbour said the cleanup efforts will improve. arizona will see fewer than half of the national guard soldiers president obama is planning to put along the mexican border. governor jan brewer called the addition of 524 soldiers a disappointing number. that s interesting that he s going cheap on the number of soldiers on the border. the boston globe, state officials say growing population of seals off of cape cod and rising water temperatures could attract more great white sharks to the area this summer. the prediction came after juvenile great white was spotted in those waters on saturday. exciting summer. it s jaws 4. usa today, cities across

we smoke with coast guard members who tell us that they are working with county officials and may have a rolling closure along the beaches for not only the safety of the workers buy the beachgoers. but ultimately it s up to the county whether or not they close these beaches. visitors still walking around the beach. you can see as we pan to the east here, you can see that beachgoers are here as well as cleanup workers. a lot of the beachgoers tell us that they are feeling fairly paralyzed when they go to the beaches. a lot of them have a special place in their heart in gulf here and we know there is a ripple effect going on. we talked about it hitting the tourism industry as well as hospitality, and now it s hitting the real estate industry. she is noticing people back out of their contracts citing a national disaster. take a look at what one real store toll us as well as one
