POTSDAM The $6.49 million general fund in the Potsdam proposed village budget for 2021-22 will offer a 7-cent decrease in individual taxpayer rates, even though total spending will be up slightly along with overall tax levy, which will increase more than $92,000.
Total general fund appropriations for the coming year are expected to be $6,497,831 in 2021-22 from $6,436,859 in 2020-21.
Total revenues for the coming fiscal year in the general fund will increase 0.9 percent over the current fiscal year, up $60,872 to cover the $6,497,831 in appropriations.
The total property tax levy for the general fund is expected to increase 2.3 percent, or $92,421 to a total draw of $4,050,717 in the coming fiscal year compared to the $3,958,296 in the current year.
