Six of the nine games were decided by a seven or fewer points. The biggest point differential was the 12 points that Spokane beat an Orlando team without its top two receivers. Arizona became the first team to go 6-0 since 2008. Iowa dropped its second straight by a last-second field goal. This and more awaits in the Week Seven edition of Breaking it Down.

For the third time this season, I've got a new team sitting atop my Power Rankings. Even though the Soul struggled more down the stretch with the Predators than they probably should have, they were dominant for large stretches last week, and they've earned their right to be called the best team in the league for the time being.

The San Jose SaberCats successfully came out on top against Spokane on Saturday night with a relieving victory that dramatically skyrockets the chances of their first division crown since 2008. With a 9-4 record, San Jose now has a three-game lead in the National Conference Pacific with just five left to play, as well as the critical head-to-head tiebreaker over Spokane due to winning the season series 2-1 after initially trailing 1-0.

The San Jose SaberCats achieved a big win on the road defeating the Jacksonville Sharks (6-3) with a score of 57-36 on Saturday night, improving their record to 6-2 for the season. With half of the season left to play, the SaberCats currently sit two games behind the National West Division leaders the Arizona Rattlers (8-1).

Following three seasons of adequate regular season play, but less-than-stellar postseason play, the SaberCats are looking to finally break the spell and get over that last hump to the franchise's fourth ArenaBowl championship.

Arizona Rattlers fans, turn your heads. You'll always hold the mark as the most impressive dynasty since the return of the AFL in 2010, and you'll always have a gripe that Reggie Gray's ball never reached the goal line before it came out. But this day belongs to the San Jose SaberCats.

After a road victory against the San Antonio Talons (0-1) the San Jose SaberCats (1-0) have been preparing for their home opener against the Orlando Predators.
