center is just outside the city of jackson. i was in the operations there. it happens to be safest place you could be. modern facility and built with sand and can withstand tornado force winds. i wasn t out in the storms but i had many staff throughout the state that were out doing what they are supposed to be doing which is trying to help people take care . heather: back to the clinton area, about 26,000 people there, how many people are out of their homes, also in jackson and other areas, do the people have shelter? in the clinton area and jackson area almost all stayed with friends and family. we were very fortunate that the tornado went through clinton and jackson was a fairly narrow track.

we re seeing conditions favorable that far northeast for tornados to develop. this is widespread area. one area you wanted to be watch is a particularly dangerous situation including parts of southern virginia, north carolina and also south carolina that. you can see some of these super cells really starting to rotate. as they rotate we can start to see some of the tornados touching down. one of the counties and many of super cells could have tornado on the grounds. we have a number of tornado warnings across south carolina and north carolina. anyone that lives in the area should get to the basement or inner part of their home away from windows. gregg: we ll check back with you. thanks very much. heather: there is a lot of talk in washington about cutting spending and bringing the deficit under control. both parties are working on plans that could mean the end to

of wayne county southwest of raleigh reports of heavy damage on the 1600 block of highway 401. reports of multiple roofs collapsed and troops down. two miles ease of dunne, reports of multiple buildings destroyed around wise road. two straight storms and then the one moving over johnson county. what we are looking now is what is left that is now in northeastern franklin area. centreville is right here and particular one we re watching is the northeastern part of the county. so we re going to focus on the area. the storm continues to head towards the northeast at about 50 miles per hour. we re going to do a rough track but generally anywhere watching from northeastern franklin county, southeast warren county and northwest person of nash
