Cllr Tony Page Two residents have slammed the council and rejected an apology after the deputy leader labelled one of them a ‘coward’ at a public meeting. Colin Lee, who was labelled a ‘coward’ at the meeting last October by Reading councillor Tony Page has rejected the deputy leader’s apology, which was sent in November 2020. He said: “My impression of the council’s willingness to confront bullying and other serious issues is one of cover-up rather than to embrace the necessary open dialogue capable of resolving such systemic matters which can lead to mental scarring of someone caught by such abuse.
