morning, we start with rain and snow in the far north of scotland. that clears and the rain moves across coming from the atlantic. you will find it will be mild in the south. temperatures will get up to 16 17. the wind is what we will talk about because during the day, the wind will start strengthening. and that leads us into the met office amber weather warning because from 1800 on wednesday until 9am on thursday, the met office has an amber weather warning for storm dudley. it is likely to have gusts of wind in areas you can see. inland, 70 80 mph, around the coast, at 90 mph. they are damaging strengths likely to cause disruption to travel and could take tiles off roof. restrictions such as closing bridges. keep in touch with the

memorials in washington, d.c., if you want to go to the world war ii memorial or go out to any of the national parks, you are going to have a problem with that as well. national park rangers are basically being told they are having to deal with this situation. you saw the yelling match that unfolded earlier this week between i think it was a senator or was it representative, a republican representative who was basically yelling at a park ranger saying you are not going to let in this veteran here who is in a wheelchair into the world war ii memorial? because it costs more to keep the veterans out than it would to just leave the place unguarded and unbarricaded. there is no wall around it. i was in wyoming this week. a lot of the county there is federal land. closing bridges and parking lots. they had armed guard stationed all over the town preventing people from driving on government roads because of the shutdown. there is no justification for that. look at this. they are put
