Microsoft is close to finalizing a multimillion-euro deal with an Amazon-backed cloud lobby to resolve an antitrust complaint with the European Commission. The deal involves withdrawing the investigation request, potential payments, and agreements to not file legal complaints worldwide.
Microsoft: The pact would include a possible multimillion-euro payment to the trade association, according to the report, and separate payments could also be made to individual companies.
Politico reported earlier that Microsoft was closing in on a multi-million euro deal with CISPE for it to drop its complaint, citing two unnamed sources.
