Satu luncuran awan panas teramati pada Sabtu (28/8/2021) pagi. Satu guguran lava pijar juga muncul pada periode pengamatan yang sama. Dalam sepekan terakhir, aktivitas Gunung Merapi terpantau lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan pekan sebelumnya.

Aktivitas Gunung Merapi masih terus berlangsung bahkan bahaya guguran lava dan awan panas berpotensi terjadi di 2 Kecamatan di  Kabupaten Magelang.

Bahaya saat ini ke arah sungai Woro maksimal 3 kilometer dan 5 kilometer ke arah Sungai Gendol, Kuning, Boyong, Bedog, Krasak, Bebeng dan Kali Putih

Selama enam jam pengamatan mulai pukul 12.00-18.00 WIB, Kamis (12/8/2021), Gunung Merapi mengeluarkan tiga kali awan panas guguran.

Peristiwa awan panas guguran tersebut sekaligus menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas Gunung Merapi masih sangat tinggi.
