The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust granted $263,444 to CHI St. Joseph’s Health to purchase two ultrasound machines as part of a $26.4 million ultrasound initiative in Minnesota.

The money is part of a $26 million statewide grant from the Helmsley Charitable Trust to expand emergency health care resources in rural areas.

“Having the latest ultrasound technology available in our communities means we can provide efficient and accurate diagnoses in our hospitals, clinics and emergency departments."

The Helmsley Charitable Trust has announced over $18 million in grants to upgrade sonography and ultrasound equipment across the state.
