VMware Inc. is extending its offerings in the white-hot Secure Access Service Edge arena to the farthest reaches of corporate networks with the announcement of new support for edge devices delivered across a constellation of global points of presence.
VMware Cloud Web Security, which is being launched today, is a cloud-hosted service that extends the company’s software-defined wide-area network and Secure Access products to connect applications to other services on the network and in the public cloud with security enforced along the way. The software is delivered through a global network of more than 150 VMware SASE points of presence or POPs that the company can said can reach 80% of the world’s population with sub-10-millisecond latency.
VMware introduced Cloud Web Security, a service that extends VMware's VeloCloud's SD-WAN and VMware SASE to users working from anywhere to their applications in the cloud, Sanjay Uppal, SVP and GM of VMware's service provider and edge business unit, told CRN.

Doha: Ooredoo Qatar has been announced as a Diamond Sponsor for Milipol Qatar 2021, the international event for homeland security and civil defence in the Middle East.
The Milipol Qatar exhibition runs from March 15-17 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC). The State of Qatar launched its first event dedicated to homeland security in the Middle East under the Milipol trademark in 1996.
Milipol Qatar 2021 coincides with an increasing number of cyber-attacks globally. Ooredoo’s proposition includes end-to-end security solutions capable of fully securing operations and monitoring a customer’s infrastructure.
