john paul, sat down with cnn for an exclusive review of their findings. the scientists say they found toxic levels of oil and dispersants infecting marine organisms just 40 miles south of panama city, florida. the organisms and other microscopic bacteria in the ocean are the foundation of the food chain. what feeds and fuels the ecology of the ocean and those guys were in trouble, then the ocean is in trouble. reporter: so far federal governor scientists have downplayed the impact of microscopic oil making its way up the food chain. this is what is the head of the national oceanic atmospheric administration said earlier this month. fish will degrade that oil and process it naturally. and so it doesn t bioaccumulate. it is not a situation where we need to be concerned about that. over time, it will be broken down. reporter: scientists tell cnn that is a short-sided view of
scanning the morning passport. can t forget the dmeening photos of american troops posing with prisoners in abu ghraib. it appears israel is facing the same shameful display from its soldiers. she left the military but before her exit, she posed with palestinian prisoners. she put the photos on facebook writing, quote, best time of my life. idf is the israeli defense forces. cnn blurred the faces shown on facebook. cnn s paula hancocks joins us live and people see this and think abu ghraib. reporter: it is not on the same scale as abu ghraib. many people are very disappoint medical this particular soldier. not least the military. they called her shameful. now we have seen it not on the front pages but certainly in the newspapers and it has been on the el television and people are very surprised.
