cnn.com/gps. i find there is very little new to say about the middle east, but the author stephen kinzer has found things to say in his book, reset. he recommends the united states find now partners in the region, that saudi arabia and israel aren t cutting it anymore. the logical partners, he says, are turkey, and surprisingly, iran, but he makes a strong and interesting case. both nations share our democratic values, for the most part, as well as our interest in regional stability. he talks about the fascinating tale about a missionary who 100 years after his death is still a hero in iran today. it s a good read. we will be right back.
