Missing is Jason LaBrie of Oregon City, Oregon. Fishermen aboard the 26-foot vessel Defiance II activated an emergency position indicating radio beacon after realizing LaBrie was missing. Coast Guard watchstanders at the 13th District command center received the alarm at 12:39 p.m. and contacted the vessel crew by telephone to gather more information. At 12:50 p.m., the Coast Guard initiated an urgent marine information radio broadcast notifying all mariners in the area. Coast Guard Rescues Injured Hiker Details   A Coast Guard MH-60T Jayhawk aircrew from Sector Columbia River medevaced an injured hiker Monday evening from the south jetty of Grays Harbor, Washington. The hiker reportedly suffered a broken leg and was transported to Grays Harbor Community Hospital for higher medical care. At 5:28 p.m., watchstanders at Sector Columbia River received a report from Grays Harbor dispatch of a male hiker injured out on the jetty rocks. Local police reported that paramedics had hiked out to the patient to provide first aid. They requested a helicopter medevac due to the slippery rocks and dangerous nature of waves crashing around them.

Coast Guard Rescues 3 On Crab Opener Details Published: 18 February 2021 The Coast Guard rescued three people and one dog from a commercial fishing vessel taking on water Saturday morning off Willapa Bay.  Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Columbia River received a distress call at approximately 7:30 a.m. The vessel Terry F reported a loss of power and was taking on water four miles offshore. An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Sector Columbia River diverted from routine operations, and a Coast Guard Station Grays Harbor 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew diverted from a separate vessel escort to respond. The three crew members were reportedly donning cold water immersion survival suits when communication with the Coast Guard was lost.
