Coastal Carolina University President Dr. Michael Benson announced the new Coastal Commitment program at the Friday, Oct. 27 CCU governing board meeting. He told the trustees that the university will invest $1 million in the initiative, which will provide free tuition to students in South Carolina high schools who finish in the top 10% of their graduating class.

Coastal Carolina University has launched a program that grants guaranteed admission and free tuition to South Carolina students who meet certain criteria. On Oct. 27, CCU announced Coastal Commitment, a new initiative that ensures admission and free tuition to S.C. students who graduate in the top 10% of their high school class and whose families have an annual income of less than $80,000.
