Johnstown Police Dept wrapping up COVID-19 vaccinations | News, Sports, Jobs

JOHNSTOWN COVID-19 vaccinations for members of the Johnstown Police Department should be wrapping up soon. Police Chief David Gilbo stated in his monthly report Monday to the Common Council that officers are receiving their COVID shots. He reported the police department was due to complete the COVID-19 vaccinations by the end of February. Gilbo also reported a draft version of the department’s state-mandated Police Reform and Reinvention Collaborative Plan was completed and turned over to the council. Also in his report, Gilbo said that for January, the police department handled 515 calls for services. Out of those calls, 55 criminal cases were generated. There were 22 arrests made during the month 12 male suspects and 10 females.

Recovery from DDOs for irregularities in pension fixation, wrongly paid HRA

Nishikant Khajuria JAMMU, Feb 11: Expressing serious concern over submission of pension cases of Government employees without adhering to the relevant Rules and Regulations thus causing irregularities in matter of fixation of pension, the Finance Department of J&K Government has instructed to recover the excess paid amount from the DDOs in case of irregularities. Besides, the Finance Department has also clarified on payment of House Rent Allowance to the Government employees and instructed to recover the HRA amount paid to those employees who are residing in any Government accommodation. Separate circulars in this regard were issued today by Codes Division of the Finance Department, according to which gross irregularities have been noticed in fixation of pay due to extension of benefit of SRO-59 of 1990 beyond date of withdrawal of the said SRO in Works Department.

Yakima City Council Looks To Change Property Maintenance Codes A news release from Yakima City Hall says the City Council will consider adopting the 2018 International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) at the Council meeting on February 2nd.  In the interest of what they say is public health and safety, the City’s Codes Division is asking for the change to the IMPC including local amendments. Yakima County, Union Gap and Selah already use the IPMC which is described as: The International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) establishes minimum requirements for the maintenance of existing buildings through model code regulations that contain clear and specific property maintenance and property improvement provisions.
