Cory Bigsby, the man accused of killing his 4-year-old son Codi, confessed to burying his son's body after finding him unresponsive, Hampton Roads Regional Jail officers testified in court on Wednesday.

Defense Attorneys for Cory Bigsby are asking a judge to throw out a statement they say their client “involuntarily” wrote while at the Hampton Roads Regional Jail.

The Executive Director said they’ve let go of most volunteers and much of the team’s equipment and gear ahead of the end of operations on October 30th.

A missing 14-year-old Virginia Beach girl has been found safely, according to the FBI. In May, her mother claimed her and her daughter were kidnapped in Mexico.

Named 'A Ride for Justice, Codi Bigsby,' the event will start at 5715 Richmond Rd, in the Food Lion parking lot connected to the Williamsburg Outlet Mall. Riders will leave promptly at 11 a.m.

Many in the community are asking why he was granted bond on a murder charge but was repeatedly denied bond on the 30 counts of child neglect and abuse charges.
