What Programming Languages Are In Demand?

Years of Job Listings Show Some Trends for Hiring Coders by Jim Turley “Kid, when I was your age, we programmed computers by hand using ones and zeroes. And some days we ran out of zeroes.” Okay, boomer, but today’s programming languages are a wee bit more advanced now. So advanced that it’s tricky to know which language(s) to learn or how useful they’ll be. Will C# expertise get me a job? Is it worth learning Perl? Should I hone my ninja Java skills or switch to Python?  Turns out, there’s an answer to that. International programming school Coding Dojo has been scouring job listings for years to see which languages are in demand, which are declining, and which are on the rise.

Top 10 programming languages companies are hiring for in 2021

Objective-C is the primary programming language used for writing applications for Apple s  operating systems MacOS and iOS. One developer told Hacking with Swift that they like the language because it s very elegant, concise, and expressive. According to Zip Recruiter, the median salary for an Objective-C developer is $123,422 per year.  #8: C# Dos has a hashtag card, and all of the game s number two cards have flexible colors. Jacob Shamsian/INSIDER Microsoft released C# pronounced like the C-sharp music note in 2001. It is now most widely used for developing desktop software and video games for Windows. According to Coding Dojo, C# peaked in employability in 2020 but fell nearly parallel to its 2019 ranking this year.
