Authorities have arrested Robert John Lanoue, 70, of Reno, in the death of Anne Pham after she went missing while walking to school 40 years ago.

A new type of DNA testing not previously available to earlier investigators identified Lanoue as the suspect in Pham’s murder.

The DAs office posted a video about the crime in 2017 in an effort to jump start the cold-case investigation.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — A man convicted of murdering a gas station attendant at Lake Tahoe in 2013 was sentenced this week to life in prison.

 

TBI said that based upon investigative efforts and the testing and results of the evidence, an arrest was made in Barbara Johnson’s murder.
