After a warm week featuring record-setting high temperatures, Friday will be the last clear day for a while as clouds and rain are expected through the weekend. The National Weather Service is watching a parade of systems carrying cooler high temperatures and at least some rain into southwest Washington and northwest Oregon. Friday will start with variable high clouds, but eventually clear for a sunny day with highs near 79 degrees. The action starts in the evening as a system pushes southeast across the metro area, bringing some light rain along the coast and in the northern Willamette Valley. Those near Lane County may not see any rain overnight.
