Class of 21: Friendship Christian School's valedictorian, salutatorian

View Comments Friendship Christian School will graduate 48 seniors at 2:30 p.m., May 16, at the College Hills Church of Christ in Lebanon. K-12 Principal Veronica Bender noted multiple activities and experiences the senior class missed this school year amid the COVID-19 pandemic. "Watching them be kind, compassionate, trustworthy, loyal, courageous, and supportive of each other has been one of my greatest joys over the past twelve years, and especially this year," Bender said. "They strive for excellence and understanding in their academic lives.  They seek opportunities to help those less fortunate than themselves.  They shine for Christ." Valedictorian Logan Thompson College or career plans: “I will be attending the University of Alabama to pursue a Bachelor’s in Management Information Systems and later an MBA.”

(WTVF) — First responders in Wilson County were able to get COVID-19 vaccines in a drive-thru at a local church. Captain Tyler Chandler said Mt. Juliet officers were able to sign up for a drive-thru appointment that works for them. "Some officers told me they’ve never been so excited to get the shot," Chandler said, "It truly is a step so we can get past this, and beat COVID-19."
