She turned 70 in the peace corps. This was before my grandfather was governor. He went on to do the things you know about him and when he was done being in the white house, his mother was standing behind him, reminding him she turned 70 in the peace corps. To the extent he has gone on and done things since and i think a lot of that was due to this extent to which grandmother infected our family with this idea that not only is doing this kind of thing a good thing to do but its fun, its exciting, and its inspiring.
