Three police officers have been admitted to hospital after they were shot by suspects who were fleeing the scene of armed robbery.

It's been a bloody week in parts of the Western Cape after six people were gunned down in separate incidents in what community leaders say is gang-related.

One of four people gunned down in Constantia, Cape Town, last week was Krasimir Kamenov, wanted for crimes in Bulgaria. A deeper look at the case reveals Bulgaria warned South Africa that he was here and was a wanted man. Possible links to a crypto suspect sought by the FBI have also emerged.

A reward of up to R50 000-00 is offered to any person who can assist with information which will lead to the arrest of the suspects.

Western Cape police are investigating the fatal shooting of three people, one of whom was a three-year-old boy, in Samora Machel, Cape Town, at the weekend.

A woman was walking on Maud Mfusi (St Georges) Street on her way to meet her friend when two men approached her and threatened her with a knife.

It has come to light that Bulgarian crime figure Krasimir Kamenov was allegedly assassinated alongside his wife, bodyguard and housekeeper.

The four are believed to be from Bulgaria. Previously, in a case linked to organised crime, two Bulgarians were assassinated in Cape Town.

The motive for the multiple murders is yet to be determined. All police know for now is that the victims are believed to be of Bulgarian descent.
