This yearâs American Olympic team, comprised of familiar faces and some newcomers, will try to add to Team USAâs impressive and world-leading medal count.
TOKYO - U.S. Army 1st Lt. Amber English took home the gold and set an Olympic record in women’s skeet shooting on July 26. But before arriving in Tokyo, the Colorado Springs-native was based in Georgia, training to become an officer in the United States Army.
English shot a record-breaking 56 targets in women’s skeet shooting to dethrone 2016 Olympic champion Diana Bacosi of Italy and secured the gold medal.
