A British Airways (BA) flight experienced technical difficulties with its landing gear on arrival at Cape Town International Airport only days after flights were grounded amid safety concerns. 




Airline travellers, who had to pay more for domestic airline tickets in the scramble to find alternative flights after Comair was grounded, will have to brace themselves for generally higher prices this year.

The suspension of British Airways flights was lifted on Wednesday night but another incident of a plane failing to land has been reported.

Comair customers are caught up in the bookings and refund backlog with discrepancies around how British Airways and Kulula are handling the disruptions.

The carrier said that the South African Civil Aviation Authority had conducted an extensive review of Comair’s documentation over a five-day period…

SA's aviation regulator, the SACAA, is conducting safety audits of the two aircraft maintenance organisations used by Comair.

AFTER being grounded for five days, Comair’s Kulula.com and British Airways (BA) flights have taken to the skies following the lifting of their suspension.

"No safety and security findings were made regarding either flight operations or maintenance," says Comair.

The regulator's spokesperson Phindiwe Gwebu says they are satisfied and comfortable with the condition of planes.
