This comes as the Civil Aviation Authority suspended the groups operating certificate, following an investigation into safety concerns.

All flights operated by Comair have been grounded by the SA Civil Aviation Authority.

The SA Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) on Saturday said it had grounded Comair’s Kulula and British Airways flights after a series of mid-air emergencies in the last few weeks.

The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) has grounded all Comair flights in South Africa.

Comair must demonstrate its safety systems are up to scratch by Sunday or the suspension will last indefinitely, said the Civil Aviation Authority. This comes after a ‘spate of safety incidents.’

All flights operated by Comair have been grounded by the SA Civil Aviation Authority, the company said on Saturday.

Following numerous reports of safety incidents, including engine failures and landing gear malfunctions, the Civil Aviation Authority embarked on an investigation earlier this week.
