Comelec holds plebiscite for 29 Ormoc City barangays

The Commission on Elections has granted a petition to disqualify Mayor Carmen Geraldine Rosal of Legazpi City in Albay for violating the 45-day spending ban in the May elections.

Through several congresses, the Commission on Elections has been pushing for legislation that will discourage fraud, regulate campaign finance and enhance the integrity of the vote.
