Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his emotions and pride during a visit to the scientists responsible for Indias successful lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3. Modi highlighted the significance of Indias achievement in space exploration, stating that their national pride is now placed on the moon. He virtually joined the ISRO scientists during the landing of Chandrayaan-3 and later traveled to Bengaluru to pay tribute to the team.

Bengaluru, Aug 26 (IANS) The landing point of the Chandrayaan-3 Mission would be known as “Shiv Shakti Point”, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced at ISRO here on Saturday.  

The Prime Minister declared that "Shiva Shakti Point" will be the name given to the location where the lander "Vikram" made contact with the lunar surface. Additionally, he gave the name "Tiranga Point" to the location where the Chandrayaan-2 lander crashed-landed on the Moon's surface in 2019.
