Skill, combat experience. almost unparalleled among the u.s. military. and that second force was sent in on one of these. a huge u.s. army chinook helicopter. there were 38 u.s. personnel -- excuse me, there were 38 personnel onboard that chinook that went in as that bolsteringr force that night. it was ten years ago this month, it was august 6th, 2011, and that night somehow it may have just been a lucky shot with a om low-tech rocket-propelled a grenade. but somehow, that gigantic chinook heli...

The name here are tired, undersupplied, and low on food. with just a few commandos among a group of ill trained police and soldiers, they are barely holding on. it is a brilliant piece. what brave reporting. we did not see much of that during the final days but when i watched this, he needs 200 of the most elite afghan forces and when i watch it i do not see them running. i do not see hiding from the fight. does it frustrate you when you hear the words of the president that they gave up? i the w...

There were smoking, and they could not hold the advance? no wonder they went back to the field. >> ive got to tell you a couple of things. it did not collapse in 11 days. also do not forget to the commandos special forces thats in the back bone and they are borne the brunt of most of the operations. these guys are among the best with any military in the world. if you do not see much of them but they are indistinguishable from americans when you do see them on the battlefield. of theyve done thou...

Evacuation plan. but as we know 31st of august is less than a week away. the priority for the americans is to get u.s. citizens out as well as those troops. we know there is probably 5500 rooms left on the base. several hundred flew out yesterday. there are other coalition forces at the airport helping with those evacuations. we know there are afghan forces who have also been helping secure the perimeter of that airport who havent surrendered to the taliban. the commandos who are there. so there...

2013. i was lead nato advisor in kabul . in what i noted at the time was that the afghan army fat found lot of success in commandos in special operations forces which where the tip of their spirit. what that evolved into then was in overreliance on mass-producing these folks to start solving the countrys problems. one of the terms we have is you cant mass-produce special operations in the reason is you have to keep that capability ar very high. when we started doing that, i saw special operation...

Complete. so i felt very comfortable that we could arrange a situation where we could keep a stay behind force of commandos and counterterrorism forces, paramilitary forces and intelligence assets there so we could keep a finger on the pulse of terrorist groups that mean harm to us. so i have a little different view on that. we were for structure analysis quite deliberately and we had a figure of 800 would work. we took the country down and defeated them with 200. i think we could have stiffened...

Behind force of commandos and counterterrorism forces, paramilitary forces and intelligence assets there so we could keep a finger on the pulse of terrorist groups that mean harm to us. so i have a little different view on that. we did force structure analysis quite deliberately and we had a figure of 800 would work. we took the country down and defeated them with 200. i think we could have stiffened the spine of the afghan national security forces with 200, as well. >> so the biden administrati...

Tactical threat to the airfield. and we said there were a couple hundred thousand afghan family members and siv people and commandos and intelligence officers. so, again, the arithmetic just didnt going to work. this is not the time to negotiate in public. weve been running sensitive operations all over afghanistan since it collapsed in 11 days. that will continue. probably with the acceptance of the taliban. >> courtney kube, kelly oconnell, heline cooper, general mccaffrey, thanks to you. sena...

Question is how much additional effort and potentially time will the u.s. government put to evacuating afghans. there were strong indications yesterday from the pentagon, the military will now make what amount to commando raids beyond the perimeter of the airport to pick up people and bring them to the airport. european commandos have been doing this all week. we expect to see that happen going forward by americans. >> thank you so much, anne gearan. joining me now is democratic representative...

Karrie and lloyd in separate locations and confront the two directly. in late january 2018 like commandos synchronooidsing their watches they swooped down. >> nice to meet you. >> in new jersey two fbi agents appeared at lloyds workplace. he agreed to meet with them in a conference room. the agents gave him an update on the case. >> determine td to be a homicide, not a suicide. >> my god. >> and in conjunction with that i want to ask you, did karrie have something to do with her death? >> no. i ...
