U S Chamber Hosts Tanzanian President H E Samia Suluhu Hassan, Launches Tanzania Investment Guide

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S.-Africa Business Center (USAfBC) hosted a presidential roundtable and dialogue with H.E. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, to formally launch the new Tanzania Investment Guide. The guide, a collaboration between the U.S. Chamber and the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade), charts a path for individuals and companies interested in tapping into Tanzania’s investment potential, creating economic opportunity, jobs, and shared prosperity. The roundtable with President Hassan’s took place on the sidelines of the U.S.- Africa Business Forum, a key pillar of the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit. WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S.-Africa Business Center (USAfBC) and the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat (AfCFTA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today to launch a working group to help advance trade and investment between the U.S. and Africa and reaffirm commitment to elevating a strong private sector voice in AfCFTA implementation. Scott Eisner, President of the U.S.-Africa Business Center, said, “Coordination between the private sector and the AfCFTA is key to unlocking Africa’s full economic potential.
