“You lose your temper, you yell at constituents, you never give committee reports – I think you kind of sunk your own ship,” former Commissioner Don Skarie told Vareberg.
County Administrator Pat Oman said different types of exit interviews had been done with employees leaving the county, but if any former employees did not get an exit interview, it’s not too late. “If people have missed their exit interview they can call Human Resources, because we love the data,” he said.
The two will be on the Nov. 8 general election ballot, since longtime incumbent Commissioner Larry Knutson didn’t file for reelection this year. The big district basically covers the eastern half of Becker County.
Direct voting is now open at the Becker County Courthouse, which allows voters to feed their ballot directly into secure counting machines – just like at the polling places on election day.
