Chalk up another busy week for your Bowie County Sheriff's Office. There were 22 people arrested by BCSO last week. Another 66 people arrested by other law enforcement agencies in our area were turned over to Bowie County. With no less than 10 Assaults this week, here is your Bowie County Sheriff's Office report prepared by Chief Deputy Robby McCarver.

There were 11 people arrested by BCSO last week, however, there were an additional 41 people arrested by other law enforcement agencies and turned over to BCSO, and every day had at least one Assault investigation except Monday. Yes, we have had measurable rain the last few days, but also... yes, Bowie and Cass Counties are still under a burn ban. Someone in the report below got in trouble this week for burning outside in Bowie County. Don't do it. There are 254 counties in the great state of Texas, only 30 of those are not currently under a burn ban, and none of those are even close to us. See the chart below. The Bowie County Commissioners Court all agreed and issued an order today that for the next 90 days a full outdoor burn ban in effect. The ban begins today, Monday, July 11, 2022. In other Bowie County news, last week literally started off with a bang on Monday, July 4, luckily your Bowie County Sheriffs Department wasn't near as busy with reported noise calls as one might expect.
