Past few hours that a third student at Santa Clara University has meningitis. Kpix 5s devin fehely is on the campus where the university is now organize emergency vaccinations to students and employees. Devin. Reporter students began lining up even before the doors opened at 2 00 this afternoon and the line has been nonstop ever since with students concerned about an outbreak that has sickened three and exposed hundreds. The line outside the center at Santa Clara University stretched as far as the eye could see as students waited for vaccines. Everybody is worried about meningitis and about 500 students could have been exposed. So out of 4,000 students on campus, thats a big deal. Reporter according to the Santa Clara Department of health, all three patients belong to the same social network, the pi kappa alpha fraternity. That is doing focused corridor enforcement for the next three months starting next week. And targeting those with pedestrian rightofway. And we have money in the recently passed budget to allow us to continue the educational and Marketing Efforts through next spring. As we await for the funding next year, that program will expand from four to 10 corridors. But again have a citywide focus. And i think we i dont remember the exact, sorry its been a while since we wrote the grant. But the enforcement piece in that, the work that begins next fiscal year will be city wide. It wont be focusing on a few specific streets. There is specific focused streets that we do additional enhanced enforcement. But city wide enforcement on streets west and east, etc. I am wondering if we can get more specific, maybe not today, but in terms of which corridors that we are talking about.
