The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) today approved Computerisation of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) with a budget outlay of Rs 2,516 crore of which the Government of India's share will be Rs 1,528 crore.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) on Wednesday approved computerization of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) to increase their efficiency and bring transparency and greater accountability in their operations.
As many as 63,000 functional PACS will be computerised over the next five years. The government on Wednesday approved Rs 2,516 crore for computerisation of functional 63,000 Primary Agriculture Credit Societies (PACS) aimed at promoting financial inclusion.
