Former detective-sergeant Shane Donovan charged for misleading the court after testifying at the assault trial of a fellow NRP officer, Nathan Parker. Parker attacked Donovan in an on-duty incident in 2018, which ended when Donovan, claiming self-defence, shot Parker repeatedly.
