State Vaccination Site Will Launch At University Of Arizona, Ducey Says
Gov. Doug Ducey announced this morning the state will launch another COVID-19 vaccination site this time at the University of Arizona’s main campus in Tucson. Ducey’s office says the new program will expand an existing site on the campus, opening up more appointments for Arizona residents. Additional appointments will begin Feb. 18, and online registration will open next Tuesday at 9 a.m. Ducey says he plans for the site to eventually operate on a 24/7 basis and that it could distribute doses to as many as 6,000 people on a daily basis.
The Biden administration will send some of the Covid-19 vaccine supply directly to community health centers starting next week as part of an effort to reach underserved areas, White House Covid-19 response coordinator Jeff Zients announced Tuesday.
