In north charlesson South Carolina is under arrest being charged with murder in a shooting death of a black man after a traffic stop on saturday. The victim apparently was unarmed. The fbi has opened an investigation. The incident was caught on video and Michelle Miller is working the story. Michelle. Scott the video surfaced this afternoon and apparently shows a white Police Officer shooting a black suspect in the back. The officer Michael Slager says the man was stopped for a broken tail light and then according to the officer the man took his stun gun. In the video it appears that the man reaches for the stun gun but then turns to run away. The Police Officer shot at the man a total of eight times. He says he feared for his life. According to the mayor of North Charleston the Police Officer is in custody and is being charged with murder. The victim is 50yearold Walter Lamar Scott of charleston.
