Henderson County (Dec 27, 2022) - On Dec. 1, the Planning Board approved, with no opportunity for public input, a catalog of edits undermining and further weakening the County’s ability to meet its own goals.

The San Juan County Board of County Commissioners had a very full agenda before them on November 29 during their first day of deliberations and public hearings prior to addressing the San Juan County Comprehensive Plan.

Let officials know the current Comp Plan proposal has flaws that unless fixed will lead to sprawl which is the death knell of communities like ours.

Islanders have the chance to voice their opinions about the 2036 Comprehensive Plane during the public hearing scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 29 before the County Council. The hearing is expected to continue into Nov. 30. The meeting will be held in person and online.
